Taisho 13 / 1924

Founded in Tsukiji
Eizo Nakano, the first generation, founded "Tama Sushi" in Tsukiji. The year after the Great Kanto Earthquake, he began serving Edomae sushi in a city bustling with the energy of reconstruction.

Showa 20 / 1945

Eizo Nakano, the First, has passed away.
The founder's wife, Koto Nakanosato, took over the shop as the second-generation owner.

Business reopening
Resumed business, selling food products in the burnt-out ruins after the Tokyo air raids.

Approved as the first consignment processing store
Rebuilt as a two-story wooden mortar building.

Establishment of Tamazushi Co., Ltd.
His fourth son, Takamasa, takes over the store as the third generation.

Opened its first branch store in the Shibuya Tokyu Building (now Tokyu Plaza)
The restaurant name was changed from "Tamazushi" to "Tsukiji Tamazushi," and the logo was trademarked.

Opened our 2nd store in Gotanda, 3rd store in Kannai, and 4th store in Meguro.

Suehiro Temaki is born
Opening a store in Ginza Core, with clear, uniform pricing.

Opened Japanese restaurant KOTO in Los Angeles, USA. Operating 37 restaurants in Japan and overseas.

"Yanagibashi Kitaro" opens outside Nagoya's Yanagibashi market

"Yanagibashi Kitaro No. 2" store opens within the Yanagibashi market in Nagoya.
Our first branch store, "Shibuya Tokyu Plaza," has closed due to building redevelopment. -

We opened our new business venture, Omotesando Hills Sasashigure.
We use Sasashigure rice, grown completely without pesticides or fertilizers, for our sushi rice. -

Tamazushi University opens (First class of students to enroll in April)

With the redevelopment of Shibuya and the reopening of Shibuya Tokyu Plaza (Shibuya Fukuras), "Sasashigure 2nd Store" will open.
*The restaurant was subsequently rebranded as Tsukiji Tamazushi and converted into an all-you-can-eat establishment.
